A premium Cameroon Robusto cigar that looks as good as it tastes. La Caya Cameroon Robusto is handmade in the Dominican Republic. The opulent La Caya Cameroon cigar is hand made with ultra-premium tobacco, is individually wrapped in cedar tubes and is aged in its deluxe cedar box for over 3 years. The Cuban-seed Dominican Piloto and Nicaraguan Habano long-fillers from the 2005 - 2006 harvest are blended and wrapped in a Criollo 98 tobacco binder. It's all enveloped in an exquisite African Cameroon wrapper from the 2002 harvest.
Their medium to full-bodied taste includes a harmonious spicy sweetness. The smoke is voluminous and flavorful with earthy and rich notes of tea, clove, cedar and pine. The end brings in leathery coffee notes. It's an elite Cameroon cigar with the smooth taste expected from serious aficionados. La Caya Cameroon Robusto is 5 inches long with a ring gauge of 54. 24 Robustos are individually wrapped in cedar tubes and hand packed in a cedar box. We're almost sold out of these delightful Cameroon Robustos so get them while you can!
La Caya has been making cigars in the Cibao tobacco region of the Dominican Republic since 1997. While they're a well known cigar maker in the industry, they're not well known to cigar smokers. That's because they usually make cigars for other cigar companies, under the company's own brands. Many of their hand made cigars have earned top ratings and praise. A few years ago they decided to take their best tobacco and make a limited amount of ultra-premium cigars under their own La Caya brand.
Only a few boxes made it out to the stores and a limited group of cigar aficionados. Even Smoke Magazine loved these, giving them a 92 rating. After these cigars were extensively aged we bought their whole inventory. We got a good deal and are passing the saving on to you.

Lots of white celestial smoke, notes of cocoa and caramel, none of the overpowering peppery spice and I love it because why put a strong spice to a stoogie unless it is intended to mask the poor quality of the leaf! Strong pepper spice is only applied to your fajita not to your stoogie.
My only negative comment to this gorgeous cigar is its burn,it is not generally even but hey for the price it's a great buy.
