It is a blend of Nicaragua and Ecuador long-fillers, all wrapped in an Ecuador Rosado wrapper and Habano binder. They are handmade in Ecuador by one of our partners, the grower of premium tobacco that harvests our Habano 2000 tobacco wrapper for our J.L. Salazar y Hermanos and Cuban Crafters Cabinet Selection cigars. We only use the dark tobacco leaves so he took the Rosado color wrappers leaves and worked with us to blend a nice tasting cigar. Using our Nicaraguan and his Ecuadorian tobacco, this cigar was created. It provides a unique taste that starts out with some pepper tingles and quickly turns to a smooth, earthy and fresh taste. Its hearty earthy tobacco flavor features notes of woods with mild undertones of coffee. They are worthy of the Indian in the front of a cigar store, and what it represents. Each Double Corona cigar is 6 inches long with a 48 ring gauge. 25 cigars are individually hand packed in a bundle.

The Cuban-seed Habano tobacco in these cigars was grown in Ecuador's rich soil, under the sun that shines on the equator. The unique geographical location of Ecuador allows tobacco to grow in direct sunlight without burning or getting sun spots that can make the leaf loose its oil and shine. That's because Ecuador is covered by a thin layer of clouds that block some of the sun's harsh rays, allowing the tobacco to grow in natural shade. Unlike some shade-grown tobacco, the colors are richer and the tobacco has more taste. These cigars were produced in limited quantities as we wanted to see how the blend developed through aging. Therefore, we only have a few bundles available until we age more cigars, ring them and sell them in boxes at full price. These naked cigars are a test and we can't wait to hear your comments.
