Subject :: I may have found something
Over a friends house one evening an was offered a, el cantillito and politely pocketed it for later. Well, when i got home i stuck it in the humi (for about 4 months} and forgot about it . about 2 weeks ago i found it and smoked it and wow...even burn ...crisp ash...id say more med than light. However the story is in the flavor, consistent from cap to toe...earthy, leathery as advertised, tasted faint hints of cocoa. Burned cool till last inch. So i called my buddy he didn't even remember giving it to me, no surprise really, much less what the stick was. Till this a.m. E mail from the gang at c.c. Thanks

These cigars have potential, but fresh out of the box they are inconsistent. If you give them a little attention though, you can awaken their potential, and it doesn't take much to do so. For one, they seem to be a bit high on humidity upon arrival; Now, this might be due to their freshness (the date they were made is recorded on a slip of paper in the bottom of each bundle - mine was 2 months old), or perhaps that they need to age for a few months in your humidor. But if you're in a hurry (and i was!) you can accelerate the process by putting a light coat of good rum on the wrapper, and let it dry slowly for a day or two: I like to use a ziplock bag that isn't all the way closed, but left open about 1-1/2 inch. Captain morgan is the first pick so far. The wrapper comes out flexible, almost impossible to crack (you can chew on it and it endures just fine), and the filler leaves are pliable allowing an easy draw. Cutting the head doesn't cause cracks or peeling. The flavor is decidedly improved: Sometimes dramatically, but always noticeably. If you try to smoke these right out of the box, they will have various problems, or, perhaps no problem. It's the luck of the draw. You can't tell ahead what the problem will be. But give it some time, or do the rum thing, and all those problems seem to vanish.

These are nice! These little sticks out perform any of the local junk at the corner store, for an unbelieveable low price. They are real, aged tobacco! No regrind junk, no filler. I cannot believe the quality that cuban crafters offers for the price. Thanks!
