La
Carolina
Fine
cigars maker Jose Alonso started LA CAROLINA de Cuba Cigars
during the 1840’s. This master roller
knew he could make the best cigars in Cuba, and he
did. The high quality and exceptional taste of his
fine cigars elevated the brand to become one of Cuba’s
most demanded domestic cigars. They became the cigars
that aficionados in Cuba smoked. While the demand outpaced the
supply of LA CAROLINA in Cuba, some cigars managed
to make it to the United States. Only select cigar
connoisseurs were able to enjoy these remarkable cigars.
Now
once again it is available to just a few cigar aficionados.
Handmade in small batches with extraordinary attention
to each and every detail, these cigars are crafted with exceptional
hand-selected tobacco leaves from Tabacalera
Esteli’s special harvest. Each leaf used is
comparable in looks and in taste as those that Jose
Alonso hand rolled. A very small amount
of LA CAROLINA are made and available yearly. Only 7,000 boxes per size are available yearly for the whole wordwide market. It is a truly aged and unique cigar.
As those
made by Jose Alonso in Cuba, and those previously made under the Cupido Cigars brand, they have a mellow and uniquely flavorful taste
that is delightful and compliments their flower-like aroma. The filler
is pure Cuban-Seed Habano tobacco, perfectly hand
blended with the finest binder and wrapper tobacco
leaves available. This is the same great tobacco and blend that was used to make Cupido Cigars by Tabacalera Esteli. It gained Cupido the distinction of the number 1 rated medium-bodied cigar in America. If you enjoyed a Cupido Cigar, you will be delighted by LA CAROLINA. Those that have the opportunity
to smoke LA CAROLINA will insist that they were made
by Jose Alonso himself.
