A premium Cameroon aged cigar that looks as good as it tastes. La Caya Cameroon Gordo is handmade in the Dominican Republic. The opulent La Caya Cameroon Gordo cigars are hand made with ultra-premium tobacco, are individually wrapped in cedar tubes and are aged in their deluxe cedar box for over 3 years. The Cuban-seed Dominican Piloto and Nicaraguan Habano long-fillers from the 2005 - 2006 harvest are blended and wrapped in a Criollo 98 tobacco binder. It's all enveloped in an exquisite African Cameroon wrapper from the 2002 harvest.
Their medium to full-bodied taste includes a harmonious spicy sweetness. The smoke is voluminous and flavorful with earthy and rich notes of tea, clove, cedar and pine. The end brings in leathery coffee notes. It's an elite Cameroon cigar with the smooth taste expected from serious aficionados. La Caya Cameroon Gordo is 6 inches long with a ring gauge of 60. 24 Gordos are individually wrapped in cedar tubes and hand packed in a cedar box.
La Caya has been making cigars in the Cibao tobacco region of the Dominican Republic since 1997. While they're a well known cigar maker in the industry, they're not well known to cigar smokers. That's because they usually make cigars for other cigar companies, under the company's own brands. Many of their hand made cigars have earned top ratings and praise. A few years ago they decided to take their best tobacco and make a limited amount of ultra-premium cigars under their own La Caya brand.
Only a few boxes made it out to the stores and a limited group of cigar aficionados. Even Smoke Magazine loved these, giving them a 92 rating. After these cigars were extensively aged we bought their whole inventory. We got a good deal and are passing the saving on to you.

I have ordered quite a bit of La Caya's cigars and I must say I am blown away by the Cameroons. It is a beautiful looking cigar like their others and the taste is great. I have never had a Cameroon prior to this so I don't know how to compare. it was a mild to medium smoke. I am use to full flavored spicy cigars but I have to say that this was one of the better moderate flavored cigars I have had.Thick clouds of white smoke and it offered a great stoogie aroma... highly suggest this for those who are curious about cameroons like I was, or if you just feel like a medium flavored smoke to realx.

I tried my first La Caya Gordo right out of the box and I was pleasantly surprised and how smmoth the smoke was. A moderate smoke all the way through with a long ash and billows of thick white smoke. Very enjoyable. Hopefully the rest of the box will match or exceed this experience!
