Charity Auction for Disabled Children

Saturday, October 15th - Don Kiki and Cuban Crafters participated in a fund raising event for the Creative Children's Therapy Center. This not-for-profit center focuses on helping children with disabilities. The event was held at the Miami Children's Museum and included cigar rollers Don Kiki and Tony Alvarez. They hand rolled cigars for the close to 300 guests. Don Kiki signed a Cuban Crafters Palacio humidor and it was placed for auction. The winning bid? $850 and all to help the children being served by the center.
CSI:NY - Cuban Crafters Helps Solve the Crime

Wednesday, November 16 (10:00-11:00 PM) on CBS Television Network - CSI:NY, one of the country’s top rated television series, featured Cuban Crafters cigars and humidors on Episode number 8, titled “Bad Beat”. It aired on November 16th. A friendly poker game turns deadly when the players realize one of their own is cheating. Mr. Cigar Aficionado here is Cheating!. The other poker players beat him mercilessly and kick him out of their apartment. When a knock on the door is followed by a shotgun blast that kills the host, Mac and Stella follow their only lead, the ejected player. The Cuban Crafters made LA CAROLINA Campana cigar that Mr. Cigar Aficionado was smoking helps them track him down. When the investigation leads them to a cigar store, Cuban Crafters Arte Exotica humidor is featured on the counter. Stella questions the store owner and from the humidor pulls out a Cuban Crafters Cameroon cigar without a band, breaks it in half, sniffs the tobacco and tells Mac "It smells Cuban."
Cuban Crafters provided the cigars, humidors and accessories for the show. After the shoot the show’s stars and production staff shared the remaining cigars. Lucky ones even took home humidors and accessories. The stars of the show:

How I Met Your Mother TV Show - Cigar Club Episode

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, the Golden Globe nominated TV comedy on CBS featured Cuban Crafters cigars in the February 6th episode. The episode takes place in a cigar bar and features products from Cuban Crafters.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. It all starts when Ted's best friend, Marshall (Jason Segal), drops the bombshell that he's going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan), a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he too hopes to find true love. 24 on FOX TV Features Revolucion Cigar Cutter

Cuban Crafter's REVOLUCION 3 Blade Cigar Cutter had more uses on the highly rated 24 Television Show than we would have liked. In this season's episode 12 titled "5:00 PM - 6:00 PM" that aired on Fox Broadcasting Network on March 5th 2007, Jack Bauer, the main character, used Cuban Crafter's REVOLUCION cigar cutter to pressure the Russian Consul to divulge information. How did he do it? Well, the Consul used the cigar cutter to cut his cigars while Jack Bauer used it at 5:47 P.M. to snip off a portion of the Consul's pinky finger.
WARNING: NEVER USE THE CIGAR CUTTER TO CUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN A CIGAR.
Jack Bauer is played by Keifer Southerland. Episode 12 guide details that at: 5:47 P.M. - Jack picks up a cigar cutter from the man’s desk and chops the tip off Markov’s pinky finger. Jack threatens to shoot him, and Markov finally gives up that Gredenko is in the Mojave Desert. He is preparing to launch aerial drones to deliver the nuclear warheads. Jack punches Markov one last time in anger.

January 9, 2009 - The Commander and staff of Special Operations Command South honored Cuban Crafters by presenting Don Kiki a Certificate of Appreciation. Cuban Crafters created custom cigars and humidors for the Special Operations Command South's Annual Special Operation Forces Dinner & Smoker. It's part of Cuban Crafters' efforts to support our troops. Special Operations Command South is the Southern Command’s subordinate unified command for special operations. U.S. Army Brigadier General Hector E. Pagan is the eleventh commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), located on Homestead Air Reserve Base. It is responsible for all Special Operation Forces in the region of Central and South America, and the Caribbean. This area contains 32 independent countries and 15 dependencies including French, British, Dutch, and U.S. territories — 12.5 million square miles or approximately one-sixth of the world’s land area. It supports the U.S. Southern Command Strategy of Cooperative Regional Peacetime Engagement by providing Special Operation Forces capabilities that assist in shaping the region's security environment, while ensuring appropriate forces are postured to respond when U.S. interests are threatened. Toward this end, it manages over 200 SOF deployments annually, averaging 42 missions in 16 countries at any given time.

Event at TOBACCO WORLD in Corpus Christi Texas with Don Kiki

March 24th, 2006 - Over 250 cigar smokers came to TOBACCO WORLD of 1220 Airline Road #270 in Corpus Christi, Texas for a cigar party with cigar maker Don Kiki. Tobacco World is the leading cigar shop in Corpus Christi. Don Kiki personally met cigar smokers and explained how boutique premium cigars are handmade. He autographed cigar boxes and explained the complexities involved in making great cigars to a standing room only crowd. Special in-store deals were available and as usually happens, cigars made by Don Kiki were quickly sold-out.
Don Kiki Visits TOBACCO SHOP in Alabama Event

On February 9th, 2006 cigar maker Don Kiki entertained at the Tobacco Shop in 1678 D Montgomery Highway, Hoover, Alabama. During the event Don Kiki explained to over 250 cigar smokers from the Birmingham area how boutique premium cigars are handmade. Some even received signed boxes of cigars from Don Kiki. Ed O'Connor, the publisher of TOBACCONIST Magazine was in attendance and helped store owner Ralph Welch and Mike, the store manager, educate the many visitors about cigars and what makes Tabacalera Esteli cigars so special. Tobacco Shop is the leading cigar retailer in the greater Birmingham, Alabama area. TOBACCONIST Magazine is the offical publication of the Retail Tobacco Dealers of America, the largest trade organization for cigar dealers.
Humidor for President Bush

October 21, 2005 - President George W. Bush has been known to occassionaly smoke cigars. Cuban Crafters was commissioned to handcraft a humidor that was presented to him. Piece by piece, the exotic woods were hand inlayed to form the Presidential Seal. The Spanish cedar interior was finely detailed and includes a mark of distinction, the number 43 engraved on the lid's bottom. A special humidor for the 43rd President of the United States. After months to make, it was presented to the President full of Tabacalera Esteli cigars. All the cigars were hand selected and packed in the humidor by Don Kiki himself.
