The La Vieja Habana Connecticut Belicoso D cigar is handmade with a well-balanced blend of mixed filler Nicaraguan Tobaccos from Jalapa Valley and Esteli covered by a pristine Connecticut Shade Wrapper. It is mild and smooth with hints of coffee and a short finish that leaves you with a nutty aftertaste. This creamy smoke makes for an excellent morning cigar, especially if paired with a creamy latte. This tripa mezclado cigar consistently delivers a great flavor with an excellent draw and burn.
La Vieja Habana is Drew Estate's first line of cigars made by, Antonio Almanzar. Since the release of La Vieja Habana in 1994 the cigar line has had its ups and downs due to unfortunate events. Even though these events threatened the brands existence, Drew Estate has managed to overcome all odds and stop at nothing to bring this uniquely delightful cigar line to the masses. 2002 was the year La Vieja Habana made its nationwide launch, producing only small batches at a time, they maintain a consistent quality like no other Cuban sandwich cigar.
MILD. In the beginning the cigar starts with a light tobacco taste with earthy tones and a slight spiciness that comes from the corojo wrapper. The aromas are that of red oak and a nutty cream. The draw is excellent giving thick blue smoke down to the band. The taste is consistent throughout the cigar making it enjoyable till the end. The Belicoso D Cuban Corojo has a length of 6 inches and has a ring gauge of 54.
