Cuban
Crafters

In
the early days of the Cigars of Cuba, there were certain
characteristics that separated them from all others.
Not only was the cigar’s tobacco unique in taste
and texture, but the finish was
clearly different. The cigar was box-pressed.
The cap of the cigar (the head) was finished with
a twisted curly top.

The bottom of the cigar (the foot or tail) was pressed
into the cigar itself. Making the cigars in this fashion
is still the way that Cubans that harvest tobacco
in Cuba and throughout the world still make their
own personal cigars in the fields. It is the traditional
Cuban way to make cigars.
CUBAN
CRAFTERS Cigars brings back to mind those
times when Cuban cigars were the best in the world.
They are meticulously handcrafted by skilled master
rollers.

They are silky and impeccably box-pressed. Each cigar
is finished the way Cuban cigars used to be. The cigar’s
cap is finished with a long curly head and the foot
of the cigar is a typical Cuban cola (tail). As in
the Cuba of the past, each tobacco leaf of the cigar
is hand picked. The leaves are then cured and aged
through a long and extensive fermentation and aging
process. After three years and five curing fermentations,
the leaves evolve into a perfect cigar at the hands
of these artisans. Smoking it is an experience all
by itself. The cigar’s draw is firm and it burns
even. The white ash is long and clean. The complex
taste of these cigars is intensely flavorful and full in body. It
is a tribute to those that harvested tobacco in Cuba
and made world renowned Cuban Classics before they
were classics.
